OOMI trains every student to become multiskilled and well versed in both the clinical and the didactic aspect. Your training will include front office duties and responsibilities such as medical ethics, communication skills, retrieving patient demographics, check-in & check-out, insurance verification, computer skills, medical terminology, electronic filing, and scheduling appointments. The back office will encompass a multitude of information to include anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, phlebotomy, administering medications, injections, blood pressures, vitals / triage, minor surgical procedures, pharmacology, and EKG’s. This specialized career works parallel to physicians and the medical team.
